When the going gets tough…

By Muhammad Zamzam, JSS3

So many times in life, we are faced with difficulties that may arise from sources around us or within us. Sometimes we face emotional, academic, or even social problems that affect us in various ways. In any case, what matters most is the way we react or respond to such difficulties. The way we respond determines how we overcome problems.

One needs to be focused on solving problems rather than complaining always, making excuses, or trading blames and doing nothing. There is a need to understand our weaknesses and work on them. We need to stay positive in times of difficulty, work hard and pray hard. This will definitely enable us to overcome it.

We have to remember that no one is perfect but with hard work and dedication we can be excellent depending on our decisions. My father once said the downfall of a man is not the end of his life. So even with challenges, we can still make it.

Perseverance is important because in this life, winners never quit and people who quit never win.
