Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Natalie. She was a very beautiful slim and light-skinned girl, but she was not well mannered, all she wanted was wealth. Every man that comes to ask for her hand in marriage she rejects their proposal due to the fact that they were not wealthy. Her best friend had always advised her on her behaviour, but she made a deaf ear to that.
One faithful day, a prince from another land named Westley was looking for a wife, then his father asked him to dress like a commoner so that he would get a good wife that would love him for who he is, not for his wealth and he obeyed his father.
He decided to stroll around the village and saw Natalie and her best friend Natasha. He approached them and introduced himself to them as a commoner and asked them whether they could be friends but Natalie refused and said she could not stoop so low to talk to a commoner and she walked out on him.
Natasha was still standing with Prince Westley who they saw as a commoner, she insisted on staying with him.
Westley and Natasha became close friends and Natalie kept on mocking Natasha, saying she was dating a commoner but Natasha never listened to her. After some days, she met a man named Kylian.
Kylian was handsome and good looking. Natalie started dating Kylian because he looked wealthy, later on, Kylian proposed to Natalie and she accepted the proposal.
Two days before their wedding, some policemen came to the house to arrest Kylian. Natalie found out that Kylian was just a sales boy and he stole his boss’s money, so he came to the village to hide and spend the money. Natalie wept bitterly ad couldn’t forgive Kylian for deceiving her.
After a while, Natalie heard that Natasha and Westley were getting married. Natalie burst into laughter saying that her best friend is getting married to riffraff. She told Natasha that she would come for her wedding to mock them.
On the day of the wedding, everybody sat down including Natasha waiting for Westley to come but he was nowhere to be found and Natalie kept on laughing. After a few minutes, six jeeps drove into the compound and people were still murmuring, waiting to see who they were.
All of a sudden, Westley came down from the car dressed like a prince, he was with the king, the queen, the princess, the maids and guards. Natalie and Natasha were still trying to figure out what was happening, just then, Prince Westley walked up to Natasha with his guards and explained everything to her.
Natalie knelt down and started crying, asking prince Westley to forgive her. He forgave her and he told her (Natalie) to always remember that “All that glitters is not gold.”
