NTIC students visit Media Trust Group

From Salim Umar Ibrahim, Kano

Students of Nigerian Turkish International College (NTIC) have visited the Kano regional office of Media Trust Group publishers of Daily Trust titles and owners of Trust TV.

The students were at the regional office to explore the rudiments of news gathering, publishing, and other aspects of newspaper production.

Received by the regional Editor, Clement A. Oloyede, and other senior management Staff members, the students were tutored and taken across all departments and sections of the company for theoretical, practical, and technical aspects of newspaper production.

While appreciating the effort of both their school and the company in exposing them to the rare knowledge, the students demonstrated deep concern in learning and putting it into practice.

Some of them, at the instance of getting to know key components of the company, have developed an interest in becoming journalists in the future.

While some of the students have been contributors to the weekly edition of Teen Trust, they however pledge to be ardent readers and subscribers while putting more effort into contributing to the newspaper to become better writers and start honing their skills.
